See those caps? Mr. Evans and I MADE them...from scratch. An incredible experience! A lot of the horn repair work I've learned how to do requires small equipment as trumpets are small. Large metal working equipment is of interest to me as I enjoy fabricating parts to improve my horn's sound and the idea of creating things is attractive to me. The process was not too involved but requires quite a bit of skill and equipment. I am please with the results, particularly the weight being just right. I plan to keep tinkering and learn more about how the mods I put on my horn impact tone and the horn's ability to let sound resonate. Exciting times!!
